Join Shinkei as a Operations Summer Intern

El Segundo, CA • Full Time • $25

About Seremoni

Seremoni is the consumer expression of a new kind of food system.

We source and deliver Seremoni Grade seafood—fish that is handled with precision, care, and respect from the moment it leaves the water. No preservatives. No shortcuts. Fully traceable from boat to plate.

Built on top of Shinkei Systems’ infrastructure, Seremoni connects fishermen, processors, and chefs through a supply chain designed for quality without compromise. The result: better fish, longer shelf life, and a product that restores what food is supposed to do—preserve vitality.

The Role

Seremoni is looking for a passionate, hard-working Operations Intern to join our growing team in El Segundo.

This is a hands-on role for someone excited about startups, food, and building something real. You’ll work across the full lifecycle of our product—helping us procure, sell, pack, and ship Seremoni Grade seafood across the country.

This role is ideal for someone who wants exposure to every part of a fast-moving business and enjoys wearing many hats. You won’t just observe—you’ll contribute directly to how we scale in 2026 and beyond.

What You’ll Do

You’ll support the Operations team across a wide range of projects, working cross-functionally with Sales, Procurement, Quality, Marketing, and Engineering.

Responsibilities may include:

• Deliver product to high-profile restaurants across Los Angeles
• Organize and manage inventory, order fulfillment, and invoicing
• Assist with events, activations, and trade shows
• Support logistics operations, including coordination with vendors and customers
• Contribute to process design and workflow improvements as we scale
• Conduct market research on seafood CPG (SKUs, packaging, positioning)
• Build and run financial models to inform operational decisions
• Travel to fishing ports and our processing facility outside Seattle, WA

What You’ll Need

• Strong interest in food, hospitality, and improving food systems
• Positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to jump into anything
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Clear and professional communication (phone + email)
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to be hands-on (this is not a desk-only role)
• Access to a car for local errands and deliveries
• Ability to work from our El Segundo office

Bonus If You Have Experience With

• Food, restaurants, hospitality, or CPG brands
• Startup or high-growth environments
• Seafood, fishing, or supply chain operations

How We Work

We’re a small, high-ownership team that values:

• Low ego, high ownership
• Speed with intention
• Respect for craft—on the boat, in processing, and in the kitchen
• Building systems that actually work in the real world

What You’ll Get

• Real ownership and exposure across the business
• Direct experience in operations, logistics, and supply chain
• Hands-on work with a product you can see, touch, and taste
• The opportunity to help build a new category in food

And yes—you’ll get to take home Seremoni Grade fish.

Other Things to Know

• This role includes physical work (lifting, packing, moving product)
• Travel may be required (Los Angeles, fishing ports, Seattle facility)
• Schedule may vary based on operational needs (early mornings possible)

Equal Opportunity

We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team across all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
